What is the issue with battery optimisation?

If Android consider the Wheely Chauffeur app to be consuming too much energy, it can terminate the app mid-journey, leading to a loss of earnings.

How do I turn off battery optimisation?
Xiamoni

Instructions are based on Xiaomi MI 9, Android 10, 11.0.3 MIUI version and may differ from other MIUI versions.

  • Close the app in the multitasking menu

  • Go to Settings -> Battery & Performance

  • Go to App battery saver

  • Choose the Wheely Chauffeur app

  • Set No restrictions, and reboot the device

Huawei

Instructions are based on Huawei, Honor 10, Android 9, EMUI 9.1.0 and may differ from other EMUI versions.

  • Go to Settings -> Apps

  • Go to Apps again

  • Go to the three dots in the top right corner, and click Special access

  • Go to Battery optimisation

  • Choose All apps, find and tap the Wheely Chauffeur app

  • Set Don’t allow

  • Reboot the device

Samsung

Instructions are based on Samsung S9+, Android 9, One UI 1.0 and may differ from other UI versions.

  • Go to Settings -> Apps

  • Go to the menu in the top right corner -> Special access

  • Go to Optimize battery usage

  • Choose All apps, find, tap the Wheely Chauffeur app and toggle off the optimisation

ASUS

Instructions are based on ASUS ZenPhone, Android 8 and may differ from other UI versions.

  • Open Mobile Manager application installed on your phone

  • Open PowerMaster and go to Auto-start manager

  • Find Wheely Chauffeur application and enable the toggle for autostart

Protected apps/App Launch

  • Go to Settings -> Battery

  • Go to App launch

  • Find the Wheely Chauffeur app and toggle the switch to manually. Leave Auto-launch, Secondary launch and Run in background on
